“SWAYAM NPTEL MOOC COURSES IN INDIA:SWOC ANALYSIS WITH STUDENT’S PERSPECTIVE”

Abstract
In21st Century Virtual Education has got recognition in leading Educational Universities across
the Globe as well as in India. MHRD Ministry has given guidelines for the virtual education through
SWAYAM- NPTEL in order to offer quality education for students, teachers and learners across the Country.
The present research undertakes the SWOC Analysis of SWAYAM NPTEL Virtual Education Courses. It also
highlights the challenges in credit transfer scheme for certified students through SWAYAM NPTEL courses
across Universities and Autonomous Institutes in India. The researchers found that, guidelines for Academic
Credit Transfer and Credit Bank are ambiguous till date and the Universities & Autonomous Institutes need to
clear the position on the academic credit transfer on SWAYAM NPTEL in order to benefits the students getting
certification through these courses
