Abstract
The Alappuzha district of Kerala served as the location for the current research project. The sample consisted of 90 respondents who were chosen at random. During the course of the research, seven of the most important independent factors were found. These variables were age, caste, occupation, length of membership, and knowledge of ongoing programs in the Panchayat structure. Within the context of the decentralized governance structure that is the Panchayati Raj system in India, this research investigates the duties and responsibilities of different members of the Panchayati. A determination is made on the level of understanding that these members possess with respect to their legislative powers, financial management, and communication abilities.
