A Comparative Study of the Physical Fitness Level of U-19 Football Players: A Field Study of Some Regional First Division Clubs in Southern Algeria

Abstract
The study aimed to identify the differences in physical fitness between U-19 football players in the western and southern regions of Algeria. Using the descriptive method, a purposive sample of 120 players was selected. A battery of physical fitness tests was applied. After completing the methodological procedures of the research, statistically significant differences were found between football players in the south and west regarding various physical fitness elements. Players from the west outperformed their southern counterparts in speed, agility, flexibility, and speed-related strength, while southern players excelled in endurance, strength, and strength endurance.
