Abstract
This paper aims at exploring a learning strategy of English Pronunciation for Indian learners. This type of method emphasizes on using known language to learn unknown language. Through this process, learners generally use their mother tongue features to learn English Language features, i.e. after the comparison of both pronunciation systems, similar features are not considered much important be paid attention, slightly similar features are to be modified and practiced and finally dissimilar, unacquainted or unknown features are to be paid more attention. This method does not demand much theoretical understanding of English phonetic system. So the learners need not to bother about the theoretical phonetic terminology which may be one of the causes of confusion for many beginners. The present method of learning has some limitations; it can be employed only for the basic understanding and practice of English pronunciation. This learning strategy can only deal with the neutral cases of intonation.
