This article discusses Uzbek folk anecdotes. Information is given about the origin of anecdotes, scientists who studied and collected them. Differences and similarities between Uzbek, Greek and Tajik jokes from each other, typification of jokes, their classification into two groups according to the critical spirit, the character of Nasriddin Effendi in Uzbek folk jokes are given in socio-political and social-domestic views.
