This article scientifically analyzes the essence of the concept of political consciousness and political culture, its structural structure and levels. The sources that serve as a factor in the formation and development of political consciousness are outlined. Political consciousness is the totality of people's assessments of political knowledge, imagination, depictions, beliefs, the political system in which they live. Political consciousness is not an innate property for a person, it is not passed down from generation to generation, it does not depend on kinship, succession or pedigree traits. Just as the political awareness of the father and the child, the brother and the brother, is not the same, the political awareness of the relatives is at different levels.
