Abstract
When the era of kings and kingships ended and India got its independence and adopted its own federal
constitution Article 25 to Article 30 was solely dedicated to the religious freedoms and religion
regulating matters. The framers of the constitution placed several reasonable restrictions over such
religious rights in order to determine the view that ‘it is the country that governs the people and its
interest that is prior most important and not the religion.’ Researcher in this chapter has discussed the
different portrayals of the concept of ‘secularism’ in different nations. The primary focus of the study
will be on the concept of ‘Secularism’ in constitutions of Australia, America (U.S.A), and U.K. and the
whole study in this chapter focus about the different legislative framework in the world regarding the
philosophy of the secularism.
