Analyzing the Nutritional Status of the Algerian Children inside School Canteens between Reality and Expectations (Exploratory Field Study)

Abstract
The study aims to analyze the nutritional status of the Algerian child in school canteens in four provinces. The study examines the reality of school canteens between their availability and non-availability in Algerian schools. Quantitative and qualitative analysis of the meals were analyzed the extent to which they meet the physical and mental needs of the student. The results showed that the percentages are narrow between schools containing canteens, which is estimated at 56%, and schools that do not have canteens, which was estimated at 44%. Furthermore, the study proved that is deficient in terms of calories and therefore does not meet the physical and mental needs of the student.
