Abstract
This study presents the construction and validation of a Social Integrity Scaledesigned to assess the social integrity among Higher Secondary Students. Present tool covers the dimensions of social integrity viz.,Honesty, Conscientiousness, Responsibility, Sincerity, Self-Motivation and Drive and Moral courage. The pilot study involving 100 students guided the selection of 50 items, each contributing to the scale's maximum score of 250 and minimum score of 50. The rigorous item analysis process, incorporating critical ratios, resulted in the rejection of ten items, ensuring the scale's reliability and relevance. Cronbach's alpha and test-retest methods established high internal consistency and reliability (α = 0.824, r = 0.814). Face, content, and concurrent validity were confirmed, with a correlation coefficient of 0.738. The Social Integrity Scaleemerges as a valuable and accurate tool for measuring social integrity, making a significant contribution to the field of education and beyond.
