Abstract
The object of our research is to identify the main features of acoustic phonetics from the point of view of
the English language, and in particular, in intonation, rhythm, volume, tempo, pause and sound phonetic processes
in order to improve phonemic hearing in English learners.Modern society is distinguished by a certain amount of
paradoxicality. With a general, widespread desire for globalization, unification, simplification of speech formulas
and averaging, for equalizing pronunciation, regional and local accents are gaining more and more popularity in the
world, which indicates an active process of ethnic consolidation. Thus, it is very premature to say that the population
of the Earth is united into one huge monoculture. We consider the changes inherent in the phonetic level using the
example of the British and American languages.
