Case report on 35-year-old Male patient with Known case of Grade IV oral submucous Fibrosis: Intervention and management

Abstract
Introduction: Oral submucous. Fibrosis of the oral mucosa, oropharynx, and, in rare cases, the larynx, is a chronic,
debilitating disorder that affects millions of individuals worldwide, with a prevalence rate of 0.4 percent in rural
India. It makes it difficult for the patient to open his or his mouth, which can be extremely frustrating Because oral
physicians are aware of such an issue, they can make a quick diagnosis and, as a result, provide appropriate treatment
based on the level of participation Patients with OSMF require trismus treatment as well as reconstructive surgery if
they have other malignant mouth issues.
Case Presentation: A case of oral submucous fibrosis is given, along with a literature review, in a 35-year-old male.
Oral Submucous Fibrosis is a condition that affects the mouth. that mostly affects Southeast Asians and is commonly
linked to eating areca nuts.
Conclusion:The most common symptoms of OSMF include a decrease in mouth opening and sensitivity to spicy
foods. If the habit is stopped and the patient is treated in the early stages, the illness will not progress further; but, if
the habit is continued and left unchecked, the illness may progress to malignancy.
