Abstract
Crime has become more transnational as a result of globalisation and increasing economic interconnectedness. With the advent of a globalised economy and the proliferation of cutting-edge communication and information technology, international boundaries are becoming more porous and people, products, and services are freely moving across borders. Therefore, the notion of globalisation is essential to understanding the character of organised crime in the modern world. In 1998, in light of these considerations, UN Member States resolved to form an ad hoc Committee to write a global convention to combat transnational organised crime (TOC). In this research, we examine many types of international criminal organisations.
