The scientific article examines the principles of choosing lexical material in teaching foreign languages to students and the important components of effective use of information technologies in the development of professional lexical competence. It should be noted that the perfect knowledge of terms related to a specific field is of great practical importance in the professional ability of students. Therefore, we think that it is important to use materials containing mainly industry terms in foreign (English) language education, to interpret their content, and to pay special attention to the development of speech in terms of professional communication.
