Abstract
DNA, in form of a genetic material has proved its feasibility in the establishmentof anindividuality. It has been used
as vital evidence in criminal assessment including sexual assault cases, murder, in the ascertainment of paternity,
maternity of identity in civil proceedings.The court proceedings constantly depend upon the accuracy, constitutional
accumulation, protection, along with certification of the DNA evidences, scientific value and its admissibility. In
civil and criminal cases, DNA assessment has turned into a highly significant function for investigators and
court,conversely whenever, there is no availability of any particular law of DNA evidence available in India. Thus, a
person is alleged/eliminated from doubt with the DNA evidence accumulated as of a crime scene. Numerous
advance methodologies and techniques are utilized for the recognition of DNA evidence and related cases. In this
review work, we mainly focused on the DNA evidences value, legal perspectives and its feasibility in judicial
system.
