Abstract
Environmental politics encompasses the complex interplay between political systems and environmental challenges. This paper examines the theoretical frameworks, major policies and agreements, impacts, challenges in implementation, case studies, and future directions of environmental policies. Drawing on recent literature (2012-2017), the study highlights political, technological, and economic hurdles in policy implementation and analyzes successful case studies like Germany's Energiewende and challenges in Brazil's deforestation policies. Future directions include innovations in environmental policy and recommendations for sustainability. By exploring these facets, this paper underscores the critical role of environmental politics in shaping global sustainability efforts.
