Abstract
Higher education is regarded as the most effective and flexible tool for a nation's social, economic, political, scientific, and technical development. Higher education aims to raise socioeconomic status and wages for both individuals and society as a whole. Empowerment is a term used to describe a person's or a group's degree of autonomy and self-determination. As a result, they are qualified to represent their interests in a responsible and impartial manner. It is the process of becoming more resilient and assured, especially when it comes to taking control of one's life and standing up for one's rights. Women's empowerment can be defined in a variety of ways, including recognizing or attempting to embrace women's opinions and increasing women's status via education, knowledge, and awareness. In this article, women in higher education towards women empowerment with special reference to Nadia district, West Bengal, India has been evaluated.
