Abstract
Oxygen, fresh water, trees, and biomass all fit the bill as examples of renewable resources. However, if they are utilized faster than the ecosystem can regenerate them, they will become non-renewable resources. This research looked at how much West Bengal State secondary school students understand the importance of conservation. One hundred and twenty respondents were given pre-tested, semi-structured questionnaires to fill out in order to gather information. In order to provide a concise overview of the information, descriptive statistics like frequency counts and percentages were employed. According to the data, over ninety-percent of respondents are aware of conservation, and about seventy-two percent are aware of the existence of a forest reserve. Newspapers (72.3%), TV news (71.0%), and radio (65.5%) are the primary means through which news is disseminated.
