Abstract
Gender-based violence in the workplace is a pervasive issue. Nevertheless, accurately quantifying its true magnitude is a challenge. Violence against women is the result of a long-standing power imbalance between males and women. The cessation of violence against women cannot be achieved just by the implementation of legal rights or the promotion of female literacy. A cross-sectional design will be utilized to examine the quantitative research approach adopted in studying the effects of violence against women in the workplace. A total of 280 working women from the IT and BPO industries will be chosen using probability sampling methods. Violence perpetrated by women has many impacts on the workplace. The impact of violence in Kolkata may be classified as emotional, psychological, and physical repercussions.
