Abstract
The paper explores the extension of 3-bit burst error correction codes with the implementation of a quadruple adjacent error correction mechanism. Error correction codes (ECC) are critical in digital communication systems to ensure data integrity and reliability. The existing 3-bit burst error correction codes have been widely used in various applications, but they face limitations when dealing with multiple adjacent errors. This research introduces a novel approach that enhances the existing 3-bit burst error correction by incorporating a mechanism capable of correcting quadruple adjacent errors. The proposed method is evaluated through extensive simulations and theoretical analysis, demonstrating significant improvements in error correction capabilities without a substantial increase in computational complexity. The findings offer valuable insights for advancing ECC technologies in high-reliability communication systems.
