Emotional intelligence and its relationship to coping with professional stress among physical education and sports teachers in middle school

Abstract
The study aimed to identify both emotional intelligence and coping with professional
stress among physical education and sports teachers, in addition to revealing the nature
of the relationship between them, by answering the following main question: Is there a
statistically significant correlation between emotional intelligence and coping with
occupational stress among physical education and sports teachers in the intermediate
education stage?.
In this study, the researcher adopted the descriptive approach using a scale for both
“emotional intelligence” and “coping with occupational stress among physical education
and sports teachers”. Based on a randomly selected sample of (55) professors out of (65)
professors.
One of the most important results of the study is that there is a statistically
significant correlation between emotional intelligence and coping with professional
stress among physical education and sports professors.
