Explaining Rulings Between Moderation and Expansion
Dr. Abderrahim Benghachi
Pages: 972-983
Abstract
It is agreed that Sharia was revealed for the benefit of mankind in both this immediate and long-term life. It is well known that the rulings of Sharia are the intended and followed path to achieving these benefits and benefiting from them.
Some scholars believe that these Sharia rulings are predominantly rationalized and their meanings are comprehensible, and that these benefits can only be attained through understanding these meanings and reasons. Others believe that the benefit is broader than can be derived from meanings and reasons. Indeed, some rulings cannot be fully understood in detail; they contain benefits that are appropriate for the situation, such as obedience to and commitment to the rulings of Sharia.
