Abstract
Education is a cornerstone of societal Development and progress (Williams, 2017), and the role of educators is pivotal in shaping the future of individuals and communities. In the Philippines, where education is highly valued and considered a pathway to socio-economic advancement, the role of Filipino language faculty in secondary education institutions is particularly significant. Filipino language faculty members play a crucial role in imparting language skills, cultural awareness, and critical thinking abilities to students (Moll, 2014). Therefore, their academic preparation and pedagogical practices are vital factors that directly affect the quality of education provided to students.
