Dr. Pratima Mishra
Pages: 1081-1087
Abstract
Teaching-learning for global competency offers students meaningful opportunities to analyse and explore complex
global challenges, communicate respectfully in diverse environments, and apply learning to take responsible, ethical
action in contemporary global contexts. Global learning is based on the principle that the world is comprised of
interdependent yet inequitable systems. Further, it acknowledges that the teaching and learning process has a vital role
in expanding knowledge of human and environmental systems, addressing privilege and stratification, and guiding
change and sustainable development. Global learning also fosters the ability to advance equity and justice locally and
globally.
