Abstract
The intertwined roles of the environment, education, and well-being are unique in shaping a sustainable and healthy society. Environmental factors which include air quality and access to green spaces significantly influence educational outcomes by affecting cognitive development, concentration, and overall learning conditions among students. A healthy environment enhances students' ability to focus and retain knowledge, while environmental degradation can lead to health issues that can hinder academic performances. Education has the ability to foster environmental awareness and sustainable practices, thus empowering individuals to make informed decisions about their surroundings and well-being. This paper explores the dynamic relationship between these three pillars, emphasized the use of outdoor learning over the traditional method. A validated questionnaire was used to illicit information on the study. The reliability of the questionnaire was ascertained. Two research questions were raised and answered and a research hypothesis was formulated and tested at 0.05 level of significance. It was discovered among others that the presence of green spaces in educational settings positively influenced students' mental health and emotional wellbeing. The paper recommends the need for integrated policies and educational programs that promote environmental stewardship, natural learning environment, green space learning, mental and overall societal well-being.
