Abstract
This paper provides a comprehensive review of contemporary issues in the application of humanitarian law in armed conflicts in India. It examines the historical context of armed conflicts in India, the legal framework for humanitarian law, and the challenges and future directions of its implementation. The paper also analyzes the protection of civilians in conflict zones, the compliance of armed forces with international standards, and access to humanitarian aid and assistance. Case studies of specific conflicts and incidents in India are presented, along with an analysis of compliance with humanitarian principles. The paper concludes with a discussion of potential reforms and improvements, as well as the role of the international community in addressing humanitarian issues in India.
