In the article, the author reflects on the emergence of the khanate, the transformation of Khiva into a capital city, its territories, the management system of khans and their succession to the throne, trade relations with neighboring countries, economic, social and political life. Also, in the article, the development of crafts in the Khiva Khanate in the 16th-18th centuries, its types and status, is discussed based on the information given in the work “Shajarai-Turk” by the Khan of Khiva and historian Abulghozi Bahadirkhan.
