Abstract
The application of mindfulness, a state of heightened awareness of the present moment, as a means to
combat work stress among practicing lawyers employed in law firms and companies. This case is further
strengthened with the plan of improving team dynamics and leadership techniques by adopting mindfulness
practices. These targeted efforts and consistent procedures are guided towards increasing employee engagement
among lawyers employed on payrolls. Based on past performance and the inherent benefits of establishing and
fostering a mindful workplace, corrective actions have been found to improve the employee experience. The
underlying aspect of this re-framing of the workplace narrative is dependent on initiating behavioural change(s) in
the employees. The shift is focused on developing the inter-personal attitudes and mindset of the employees with a
holistic approach. The prospect of mindfulness as a growth catalyst in organizations has been presented to
incorporate the same. Based on the research findings, recommendations for future research on this meditative
practice and its adoption in other industries have been proposed.
