This study explores the phenomenon of digital addiction as a contemporary transformation of traditional addiction, as technological advancements have contributed to the emergence of new forms of addiction that threaten psychological and social security, particularly among youth and adolescents in educational institutions and universities. The study aims to analyze the complementary mechanisms between educational institutions and universities to confront this phenomenon and enhance technological awareness, where the study adopts a descriptive and analytical approach to monitor the economic and social repercussions of digital addiction and examine the role of weak family and institutional guidance in exacerbating it. The study results conclude that the absence of regulatory mechanisms and the difficulty of keeping pace with technological developments exacerbate the spread of the phenomenon, however, the solution remains dependent on enhancing integration between the family and educational institutions and adopting policies focused on preventative awareness.
