Introduction: Esthetic management of extensively decayed primary maxillary anterior teeth requiring full coronal coverage restoration is often a challenge for pediatric dentists especially in very young patients. Many esthetic options have been tried over the years each having its own advantages, disadvantages and limitations of technical, functional or esthetic. Zirconia crowns provided another treatment option to address the esthetic concerns and ease of placement of extra-coronal restorations on primary anterior teeth. Aim: The aim of this study was to evaluate the Knowledge and Awareness among General Dental Practitioners in Nagpur regarding use of Zirconia crowns in pediatric population. Population and Method: A quick online cross-sectional study was conducted among 100 general practitioners in Nagpur. The questionnaire comprising of 18 questions was sent to 200 general practitioners in Nagpur, out of those 100 responded. The study objective and questionnaire were sent to general practitioners via “Google Forms”. The collected data was sent for appropriate statistics. Result: The findings of this study reveal wide range of differences in the knowledge and practice of general dentists in Nagpur regarding use of Zirconia crowns in children. Of the total participants 54.3% patients are opting for crown procedures in practice.78.5% practitioners preferred Zirconia crowns in case of esthetic enhancement.44.1% practitioners preferred custom fabricated Zirconia crowns.41% practitioners preferred Zirconia crowns for full coronal restoration. Conclusion: The conclusion taken from this study is that we need to update the knowledge of general practitioners regarding use of Zirconia crowns in children.
