Pages: 516-521
Abstract
This paper examines the dynamic interplay between memory, myth, and history, exploring how these phenomena intersect and influence our understanding of the past. Drawing on interdisciplinary perspectives from history, sociology, and cultural studies, the paper investigates the role of memory in shaping historical narratives, the function of myth in cultural identity formation, and the ways in which history is constructed and interpreted. Through case studies spanning ancient civilizations to modern events, the paper highlights the complexities of memory and myth and their impact on our collective memory and cultural identity. The findings contribute to a deeper understanding of the complexities inherent in interpreting the past and underscore the importance of critically examining the narratives that shape our understanding of history.
