Mental health is one of the major public health concerns. Women, who plays multiple active roles in their families experience stress at all levels. This study was conducted to assess the mental health status among mothers having children in the urban area of Tamil Nadu, India. A descriptivecross-sectional study was conducted among 60 mothers of children with multiple disabilities, regarding their mental health status. Allrelevant information was collected using demographic form and DASS-21.This study has shown that 50% fall under severe and 15% of the mothers were at moderate stress, anxiety and depression level. A preventive program including screening of mothers for stress, anxiety and depression and other psychosocial hazard along with sensitizing the need for identifying and seeking help in timewill help them to have betterment al health.
