Mental Movement Imagery and Its Contribution to the Development of Some Basic Volleyball Skills Among Secondary School Students

Abstract
This study aimed to investigate the contribution of mental imagery to the development of some basic volleyball skills, as well as to understand the correlation and harmony between the mental and physical aspects for good motor performance. We relied on the descriptive methodology, where this study was applied to a sample of 50 high school students, randomly selected, We used a questionnaire as a data collection tool. The results showed that students highly affirm that mental imagery helps them improve and develop the skill of serving in volleyball, enhances cognitive abilities, increases focus during performance, improves offensive skills such as spiking, defensive skills such as blocking, with a great motivation for outstanding motor performance.
