Abstract
This article aims at proposing effective ways of mastering the norms of using numerals. Using a specific
topic as an example, objectifying the idea of the importance of communicative literacy, the authors offer
approved methodological recommendations for the formation of professional competence of future
mathematics teachers.
Substantive support and the choice of pedagogical technologies for mastering the topic are due to the
lexical and grammatical features of numerals and recognition of their relevance in various functional
styles. This format of studying the grammatical phenomenon is intended to improve students’
professional communication. Considering the technology of modular training as the leading technology,
the authors transform it into directions that provide students with solid knowledge of the formation, use
and spelling of numerals.
The authors propose to solve the problem of using numerals in speech based on the principle of functional
