Abstract
It is well known that the genre of mourning is a sad poem that has found artistic perfection in folklore. In
this regard, a number of examples of this genre have been created in the written literature. The article is devoted to
the study of the role of mourning in Uzbek poetry and its examples in the works of Chulpon.
