Abstract
There are many physiological changes that a pregnant woman experiences. Both systemic and local alterations, such those that take place in the oral cavity, may occur. Since dental health is a crucial component of overall health, issues with the oral cavity that affect pregnant women must be addressed right away. It is crucial that the dentist considers the physiological changes that take place during pregnancy and is aware that his treatment choices may have an impact on the lives of two persons (the mother and the baby). Therefore, the clinician should take all necessary steps to reduce the probability of unfavorable events [1]. The cardiovascular, pulmonary, renal, gastrointestinal, and hematological systems all undergo alterations throughout pregnancy.
