Abstract
Political corruption in India is a deeply entrenched problem that has far-reaching consequences for the country's economy, society, and political system. This paper provides an in-depth analysis of the challenges posed by political corruption in India and proposes solutions to address this issue. The paper examines the definition and forms of political corruption, its historical context, and the factors contributing to its prevalence. It also explores the impact of political corruption on India's economy, society, and political landscape, using case studies to illustrate the magnitude of the problem. The paper then discusses the challenges in combating political corruption, including legal, institutional, cultural, and political challenges. It proposes a set of solutions, including legal reforms, institutional reforms, transparency and accountability measures, and public awareness and education campaigns. Finally, the paper highlights successful anti-corruption campaigns and the impact of specific reforms or initiatives in India. It concludes with recommendations for future actions and emphasizes the importance of continued efforts to combat political corruption in India.
