Abstract
Popular culture and Technology play a transformative role in shaping the educational landscape for English Language Learners (ELLs) with special needs. As classrooms become more diverse, educators face the multifaceted challenge of addressing the unique needs of ELLs with special educational requirements, all while nurturing language proficiency and engagement. This study investigates the impact of technology integration, focusing on popular culture elements, language acquisition, and overall academic achievements within this student demographic. This study encompasses a mixed-methods research approach to explore the influence of technology and popular culture in facilitating differentiated instruction, personalized learning, and targeted support for ELLs with special needs. Preliminary research suggests that technology-infused interventions, drawing from elements of popular culture, have the potential to significantly boost language development, student engagement, and self-efficacy, ultimately leading to improved academic performance and greater inclusion within mainstream educational environments. This paper attempts to contribute valuable insights into the potential of technology enriched with popular culture elements to address the distinctive needs of ELLs with special needs, empowering educators to refine their teaching strategies to promote inclusivity and enhance linguistic proficiency.
