Abstract
This study is dedicated to exploring the psychological burnout experienced by mothers who stay in hospitals alongside their children diagnosed with sickle cell anemia. Specifically, it examines the prevalence and intensity of burnout among these mothers. To this end, we conducted a detailed investigation involving two mothers of children with sickle cell anemia, employing clinical interviews and leveraging Mikolajczak's Maternal Burnout Scale. The findings indicate profound levels of suffering among these mothers, characterized by a spectrum of symptoms that span from overt to latent manifestations.
