Abstract
The media, as the "fourth estate," must shed light on every social problem that exists. In modern culture, women play an increasingly central role, and their proportion in the population is rising. They have the same number of people as us, but they have a far harder time getting through their everyday lives, and the media seldom covers the problems they face. This has a devastating effect on women in our culture. The purpose of this research is to analyze the gender-related news coverage in national and regional newspapers in Sindh, as well as newspapers from other countries. In order to acquire a complete picture of the world, we have reviewed the results of past international studies and combed through the archives of three major newspapers to gather information for this study. Two national newspapers and one provincial daily (Daily Kasish) were chosen. Quantitative methods predominate. Content analysis and comparison methodologies will be used to examine and gather information. Data collection covers the period of time from July 2021 to June 2022 for this particular purpose. The most important result of this research is that regional media provide more attention and space for chosen women's topics than do national publications.
