Abstract
India's educational system has undergone numerous modifications since the introduction of the Gurukula system. In ancient India, the aristocracy preferred to get their education through monastic orders run by gurus. The Indian government created the National Policy on Education (NPE) to encourage and oversee education in the country. India's program encompasses education from elementary school to university level in both rural and urban areas. Since India's independence, Prime Ministers Indira Gandhi (1968), Rajiv Gandhi (1986), and Narendra Modi (2020) have essentially introduced three different education strategies. This paper discusses the National Education Policy 2020 from the standpoint of the nation's existing policies. Additionally, the study aims to highlight the Key Elements of the 2020 National Policy on Education.
