Abstract
In a cashless environment, transactions are carried out by exchanging digital information rather than using real currency or coinage. It is vital in this information age to ensure that data security and personal privacy coexist together. In a cashless society, precautions have been put in place to protect privacy. These include the creation of a new financial service that produces fictitious credit card numbers, the launch of a campaign to educate key people about security and privacy issues, and the use of blockchain technology to track every transaction. Card randomization and blockchain both have flaws, zero-day exploits, and varied levels of societal support. In the context of a digital economy, this article outlines critical and necessary privacy protection methods.
