Study on Education System for the Children of Kutia Kandha Tribe of the Kandhamal District of Odisha in India

Abstract
The aim of the article is to focus on education system for the children of Kutia Kandha tribe of Kandhamal district of Odisha in India. The region of Kandhamal houses the Kutia Kandha tribe, an original native group with linguistic ties to the Dravidian Kui and Kuvi languages. The Kutia Kandha community's educational development is central to the tribal educational system in Odisha. This community, residing mainly in Kandhamal, possesses its own spoken language and a unique "Kui" script. Most of the poor parents ofKutia Kandha tribe are illiterate for which theirchildren are found neglected in education. Efforts by governmental and non-governmental organizations have aimed to enhance the educational status of the children of Kutia Kandha tribe and other tribal children in Odisha. Some educated Kutia Kandha individuals have established socio-cultural organizations to safeguard their traditional heritage. This articlehighlights the educational system for Kutia Kandha children in Kandhamal, focusing their willingness to embrace modern knowledge while preserving their cultural roots. The study draws from primary and secondary sources to provide a comprehensive view of the subject. This essay focuses on the educational system for Kutia Kandha youngsters in the Kandhamal district of Odisha and highlights their openness to receiving contemporary knowledge for their moral and physical growth in preparation for integration into the mainstream of today's modern society. Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences of Bhubaneswar pays a proper attention for the education of the tribal children including the Kutia Kandha children of Kandhamal district of Odisha. Both the primary and secondary sources were thoughtfully incorporated into the current article's methodology.
