Abstract
This article is a study of the principles of English phraseological units in EnglishUzbek phraseological dictionaries. Also, special attention was paid to the nature and
types of phraseology, the history of the study of phraseological units, similarities and
differences between English and Uzbek phraseology, methods of translating English
phraseological units into Uzbek and the semantic-structural features of their lexical
means and the factors that make up the essence were analyzed. In particular, the
article aims to identify the laws and principles of the use of linguistic units as a means
of speech activity, which are important areas of modern linguistics, as well as to
determine the features of linguistic phenomena related to real events. The relevance
of this study is, on the one hand, special attention is paid to the analysis of the
semantic-structurally stable, ie phraseological units of the word, which is the
language system and its basic unit
