Abstract
The study sheds light on the public sector enterprises and their roles in society’s upliftment in India. Economic condition of the public sector of India has a great impact on the financial condition of the country. The study is focused on evaluating the roles of Indian public sector enterprises in developing the social conditions. Different pieces of literatures have been reviewed for gather adequate information about the factors associated with the public sector enterprises of India which contributes to social developments. Public welfare is managed by this sector in the Indian market to maintain its position and development successfully. Employment rate, gender discrimination, financial condition, and health conditions of employees in public sector enterprises are essential factors for upliftment of society. In this study, secondary quantitative data have been collected to analyse and interpret the data in a successive manner. Employment rate in public-sector enterprises is the highest (8.3 million) in the year 2021. This is beneficial for Indian economy to improve unemployment rate successfully.
