The Relationship Between problem Solving Skills and Ambition in a Subset of High Achieving in a Students in Primary School (A field study of some primary schools in Ouargla)

Abstract
The current study aims to examine the relationship between problem-solving and the level of ambition in high-performing elementary school students in public schools in the city of Ouargla for the academic year (2022-2023) and to reveal differences in problem-solving and ambition levels between individuals in the study sample in terms of gender and academic level. To achieve the objectives of this study, the descriptivecorrelational method was used on a sample consisting of 83 male and female students, including 44 male students in the fourth grade and 39 female students in the fifth grade. The researcher used two tools: the Problem Solving Inventory by Nazeih Hamdi and the Ambition Level Scale by Mohamed and Abdul- Azim. The researcher verified the validity and reliability of the research tools on a pilot sample, then applied the scale to the study sample and analyzed the results obtained using the appropriate statistical methods using the SPSS system. The most important results were as follows: - The presence of a reciprocal relationship between problem-solving and ambition level - There are no statistically significant differences in the relationship between problem solving and ambition level in terms of the study variables gender and academic level. The results of this study were discussed in light of the theoretical framework and previous studies with the proposal of some recommendations related to the subject.
