Abstract
This study entitled ‘The Symbolism of the Inner Rhythm in the sufi poem" aims at identifying a group of symbolic dimensions of the rhythm manifestations in Elsahrourdi’s Poem. This poem is a sufi text which is regarded as a good sample of pure divine love.
In fact, Elsahrawardi’s Poem is a creative and innovative text with a distinct rhythmic structure which prompted us to examine it, seeking to determine the manifestations of its internal rhythm starting with the repetition phenomenon that has two types: phonic and verbal. The study has followed a stylistic approach to discover the expressive and suggestive significances closely related to the experience of the poem, in addition to its toning dimension created from the sounds union. Consequently, it is concluded that this poem is characterized by linguistic and rhythmic features. It has a distinct vivid structure that made it as a charming symphony. It reflects the spiritual experience of the poet with inspiration, expression and influence.
