What causes employee deviant behavior? Investigating workplace incivility and professional inefficacy using CB-SEM

Abstract
There is a perception that workplace incivility is unavoidable and unfriendly for both organization and individual. This study aimed to investigate causal analysis of workplace incivility and professional inefficacy on workplace deviance among employees of various restaurants located in different geographic locations of Pakistan. A non-probability sampling technique was used and 400 sample size was selected based upon convenience sampling. The data was collected t initially coded in SPSS software and implicated descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation analysis. In addition, hypotheses were assessed with a robust inferential statistical approach, called, Structural equation modelling (SEM). The study outcomes report that workplace incivility and professional inefficacy has positive significant effect on workplace deviance among employees of various restaurants located in Pakistan. This research essentially contributes basic changes in management techniques that help managers get the results they want from their employees, as well as help them to improve performance.
